Mia (Maya arulprakasam)'s name is not mentioned anywhere. American version which was probably seen by critics had only two songs. One was Mia's single from her album Paper planes in the train sequence and the other was the song Jai Ho at the end. Mia was noticed by many in U.S before Rahman came along. Maybe she will perform on Oscar night. Rahman was shrewd to bring Mia along for the project.
